Transparency and independence
Affiliate Disclosure
How ShredPriceFinder handles potential commercial relationships.
ShredPriceFinder is an independent document shredding price research directory. This page explains our approach to affiliate relationships, advertising, and editorial independence.
1. Affiliate Links at Launch
ShredPriceFinder does not have active affiliate purchasing links at launch.
No affiliate commission is currently earned through links on this website.
2. What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a link to a third-party product or service that may generate a commission or other compensation for the website when a visitor completes a qualifying action.
If ShredPriceFinder introduces affiliate links in the future, those links will be identified clearly so visitors can recognize when a commercial relationship may exist.
3. How Future Affiliate Relationships Will Be Disclosed
If affiliate relationships are introduced, disclosures will be placed where visitors can reasonably notice them before interacting with the relevant links.
A disclosure may explain:
- That a link is an affiliate link.
- That ShredPriceFinder may receive compensation.
- That compensation does not increase the visitor's price unless the provider's terms independently specify otherwise.
- That visitors are free to use other providers or purchase elsewhere.
4. Advertising
ShredPriceFinder may display third-party advertising in designated advertising spaces.
Advertising placements are separate from the published price records and research methodology used throughout the directory.
Advertising does not establish that a business has been independently recommended or that its published prices have been verified through an advertising relationship.
5. Editorial Independence
The purpose of ShredPriceFinder is to organize and compare published drop-off shredding prices by individual location.
Price records are based on the published information of the identified source. A business's advertising or potential commercial relationship does not determine the price displayed in its record.
ShredPriceFinder does not change published prices to favor a provider because of a commercial relationship.
Listings are not endorsements, rankings, or guarantees of service quality.
6. No Paid Price Rankings
Price comparisons are based on the collected published location records and their applicable pricing structures.
A provider's commercial relationship with ShredPriceFinder does not determine its position in a price comparison.
Where per-pound prices are comparable, metro comparisons use the published per-pound rates rather than paid placement.
7. Third-Party Businesses and Services
ShredPriceFinder may link to external businesses, chains, and other websites as part of its published research.
These links are provided for informational purposes. ShredPriceFinder is independent of the businesses included in its directory.
Visitors should review the terms, pricing, privacy policies, and service conditions of any third-party provider before purchasing or arranging services.
